Prazska Salonka
Prazska Salonka is a music group consisting of: 2 violins, a viola, a violoncello, a cello, an oboe, a clarinet, a trumpet, a bassoon, a piano and drums. There are eleven members altogether. We play in dinner-jackets or tail-coats. The repertoire includes melodies from operettas, waltzes, polkas, tangos,overtures (Strauss, Lehar, Kalman, Nedbal, Suppe, Waldteufel, Borovicka, Hotovy, Vacek, Vejvoda). The musicians are members of the National Theatre Orchestra in Prague. Prazska Salonka continues the tradition of saloon orchestras in the 18th and 19th centuries.
